How Sand Bags Work
Sand bags are a great way to anchor a cover at ground level and stop it from riding up in the wind. Each bag is a fabric pouch with a velcro opening at the top that you fill with sand. Then you secure it to the cover's skirt using an attached buckle strap that clips to the opposite end of the skirt. Sand bags are most commonly used on sectional and grill island covers, where multiple bags can be placed across the long edges.
Wind Protection
By weighting the skirt down to ground level, they keep wind from getting underneath and billowing the cover upward. On large covers, adding multiple bags across the longest edges spreads the hold evenly for reliable protection in windy conditions.
Fillable & Adjustable
The velcro opening lets you fill each bag with as much sand as you need and empty it when it's time to store the cover. Because bags clip on individually by buckle strap, you can add as many as the piece calls for.
