How Sand Weight Sleeves Work
Sand weights hold a cover in place using weight alone. A removable sand-filled insert slides into a sewn sleeve along the edge of the cover. Because they don't rely on wrapping around legs or frames, sand weights are ideal for built-in and flush mounted items where there's nothing to strap to. They're most commonly used on built-in grill covers where they weight down the three sides of the grill. Another popular item is islands against walls where weighted sleeves rest against the wall to keep the top from lifting.
Wind Protection
Sand weights guard against wind by adding weight along the edges and flaps. On their own, they work well in low to moderate wind. For more exposed locations, they pair well with turn buttons or velcro straps.
Removable & Low-Maintenance
The sand insert is fully removable, so you can take it out to change the filling or store it.
