How Turn Buttons Work
Turn buttons are our most secure fastening option. Stainless steel turn-button hardware is mounted directly to the island structure, with a corresponding ring fixed to the cover. The result is an exceptionally tight, permanent attachment that holds firm in high wind while keeping a clean, built-in look. Turn buttons are used on custom covers for islands set against a wall, with buttons placed along the top edge against the wall and down the sides to lock the entire cover down. That said, no fastener can guarantee that a fabric cover stays put in extreme or severe wind.
Wind Protection
Turn buttons deliver the strongest hold of any fastener we make. Because the cover is physically locked to the island at multiple points, it makes it very hard for wind to get underneath and lift it.
A Permanent, Clean Install
Turn buttons are a permanent installation where the stainless steel hardware is drilled into the island. In return, you get a durable, corrosion-resistant system that looks clean and integrated.
